Proactively enforce email policies within and beyond your corporate network with Permessa Email Policy Enforcer. Whether you use the recommended policies from the Permessa Email Control! suite or set your own, Permessa Email Policy Enforcer can prevent employee misuse and confidentiality breaches, while reducing email storage, network and bandwidth consumption.
Permessa Email Policy Enforcer protects email based on business processing rules. These rules may limit the size of each mail message, the number of internal and external recipients, the total impact of each message, and the type and size of attachments. In addition, rules may be based on content and include inappropriate content, privacy leaks, Chinese Wall violations and more. Rules can be applied to individual messages or to specific individuals or groups within your organization.

Permessa Email Policy Enforcer consists of two components: Mail Arbiter and a virtual appliance. When messages arrive in mailbox, they are first examined by the Mail Arbiter. If the message conforms to the business rules, it's routed to the recipient(s) Inbox. If a message doesn't conform to the business rules or if further action is required by the sender or an administrator, it's routed to a Repository database. The software virtual appliance examines each new message in the Repository and processes them based on an established workflow, such as sending an instant message or email to the sender. When the Mail Arbiter evaluates a message, it marks it so it will not be assessed a second time. This workflow optimizes performance in large enterprise organizations.
