Permessa Collaboration Investigator identifies misused Quickplace resources that cause wasted expense and increase security risk.
Quickplace brings with it unique IT management challenges as Quickplace Places and Rooms are designed to be self-service. End-users can create, modify, add and, many times, abandon Quickplaces for their sometimes temporary needs. Over time, abandoned Quickplaces add up. Alternatively, some Quickplaces become essential applications that are regularly used by many employees and are even used externally by partners and customers. In each case, this usage is typically invisible to IT.
Locate abandoned or inactive Quickplaces for server cleanup. To facilitate this process, Permessa includes a database “quarantine” workflow process to properly tag databases for archiving and removal from the server.
Identify most active Quickplace users and users who are no longer active.
Perform Quickplace server load balancing, ensuring places are equitably distributed across your servers.
Assess which parts of the organization and which individual users are embracing Quickplace and embracing which specific Places and Rooms.
