DYS Analytics Announces Major Update of Replication CONTROL!

New Web Portals, Flexible Reporting, Automation Features Make It Easy
for IT Staffs to Improve Replication Efficiency and Lower Costs

ORLANDO, FL January 27, 2003 - At Lotusphere 2003 today, DYS Analytics, Inc., the leader in traffic management and optimization solutions, announced Replication CONTROL! Version 4.1 for IBM Lotus Domino environments. A major architectural upgrade to its popular replication management solution, Replication CONTROL! 4.1 includes significant enhancements for analyzing the performance, activity and reliability of enterprise-wide Domino replication. Based on DYS' powerful new CONTROL! 4 architecture and expanded feature set, Replication CONTROL! 4.1 increases replication efficiency and further lowers the total cost of ownership (TCO) on Domino networks. Replication CONTROL! 4.1 is being showcased this week in DYS' booth #219-220 and will ship in spring 2003. With their dependency on collaborative applications in large, globally distributed organizations, IT managers must find innovative ways to optimize replication performance and minimize infrastructure costs, especially for bandwidth and storage. Replication CONTROL! 4.1 enables IT professionals to better manage and control large-scale replication networks by measuring server-to-server replication performance across the enterprise. Replication CONTROL! accomplishes this by collecting and analyzing replication traffic data and reporting on metrics such as replication success rates, durations, delays and cycle times.

With the knowledge provided by Replication CONTROL!, organizations can dramatically improve replication service levels and substantially reduce costs. Using Replication CONTROL!, IT staff can:

  • Optimize replication traffic and infrastructure resource allocation across the enterprise, ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of critical business information.
  • Reduce infrastructure and administration costs through more efficient load balancing and capacity planning as well as faster troubleshooting.
  • Automatically discover topology and scheduling problems, allowing proactive resolution of issues before they escalate and affect end users.
  • Assist in the planning and successful execution of strategic network projects such as server consolidations, network mergers/acquisitions, platform migrations and topology redesigns - taking into account server performance, bandwidth availability and replication scheduling requirements.

A Critical, Yet Specialized Need
Configuring databases to replicate is a relatively simple task; however, without analyzing how replication is actually performing across the network, this "easy" setup can result in significant hidden additional costs and ultimately result in lower user productivity as remote users are not accessing current business data.

"Inefficient replication can quickly impact service levels and waste valuable IT and end-user time as well as consume costly server, storage and bandwidth resources," says Marco Farsheed, CEO of DYS Analytics. "Replication CONTROL! 4.1 provides a new level of power and flexibility for IT staffs working to optimize replication on their networks."

What's New in Replication CONTROL 4.1
Replication CONTROL! 4.1 offers unique, time-saving benefits for IBM Lotus Domino environments:

  • CONTROL! Portal delivery of reports, allowing IT managers and business decision makers to more readily view reports on replication traffic and performance directly from their Web browser.
  • Automated report options for scheduling the generation and posting of personalized reports to CONTROL! portals with optional email notification.
  • Unified reporting with all DYS CONTROL! 4-based products for "single view" enterprise-wide analysis. Users can view their messaging and replication analysis from the same portal.
