DYS Analytics Debuts CONTROL! Application Performance Management Solutions

ORLANDO, Fla., January 26, 2004 - At Lotusphere 2004 today, DYS Analytics, Inc., a leader in application performance management for messaging and collaboration applications, announced a major upgrade to its CONTROL! product family. CONTROL! solutions "Efficiencize" distributed messaging and collaboration networks for lower total cost of ownership (TCO) and higher quality of service (QoS). These new CONTROL! solutions let enterprises address today's increased emphasis on achieving corporate governance objectives and improving operational efficiency. They include major new functionality to support IM chat logging and alerting, broader trending analysis, richer platform metrics, an enhanced web-interface, and expanded platform support. The new CONTROL! 4.2 solutions, available in April 2004, are sold directly by DYS Analytics and through partners such as IBM.

As email, IM and Web conferencing use continues to rapidly expand, enterprise networks have become far too complex to manually analyze, troubleshoot and optimize. While these networks only get more complex and problems more difficult to uncover and solve, corporate management is placing an increased emphasis on regulatory compliance and cost reduction. What's New In CONTROL!:
Major enhancements in the CONTROL! 4.2 product suites include:

  • Collaboration CONTROL! enterprise IM chat logging and keyword search/alerting. New features in DYS' Collaboration CONTROL! track IM conversations for easy archiving and alerting so appropriate compliance or IT staff are proactively notified of specific keyword / key phrase use.
  • Expanded Health Metrics, Troubleshooting Support. All four CONTROL! suites make IT staff more productive rolling out and maintaining peak performance of their applications through new capabilities for:
  • in-depth reporting and alerting of IM and Web Conference server health metrics;
  • integrated mailbox and mail traffic reporting that helps associate user activity to actual storage use;
  • "drill down" into the Sametime administrative page to monitor process status to gain faster insight into potential trouble-spots;
  • database inactivity reporting, and other troubleshooting features.
  • Portal enhancements for enhanced security, easier use by line-of-business users. CONTROL! 4.2 supports per-portal access control so confidential views - for example, reports on executive message use - can be protected from unauthorized access. Additionally, each DYS Portal now supports multiple summary statistics views for broader performance analysis, customizable web-links to other DYS products or web pages and an improved user interface. CONTROL! portal enhancements allow faster at-a-glance analysis by both line-of-business managers who need to understand collaboration metrics and costs - and IT staffs charged with collaboration management.
  • Email CONTROL! Trending and Alerting - New reports speed longer-term capacity planning and provide quick comparisons on resource allocations. New alerting capabilities in Email CONTROL! allow IT staffs to automate notifications to individual users who exceed corporate messaging policies. For example, a user who sends abnormally large attachments would get automated warnings to sensitize them to the costs they place on the organization.
  • Improved Replication analysis - User Interface enhancements in Replication CONTROL! make it even easier for IT staffs to monitor the comprehensive server-to-server replication metrics they need to manage even the most complex IBM Lotus Domino environments.
