Permessa is seeking a software development veteran, with at least ten years of industry experience, to join our team in Waltham, MA. This is a team leadership role, with career advancement opportunities.  Would you thrill to the challenge of streamlining a large legacy desktop application into a more modern implementation, simultaneously minimizing its footprint, improving its performance, and extending its reach to a multinational audience?  Have you been hoping for an opportunity to broaden your experience by having a full system, not just a small portion, under your control?  If so, we'd like to talk to you about joining our team.  Whether to use .NET, J2EE,  Ajax (or other proven technologies) would be your decision.

The ideal candidate will be capable in Java, C++, VB and optionally .Net as well as have familiarity with XML, XSL and SQL.  In addition to being a strong programmer with a firm grasp on software design and construction techniques, the candidate should have experience architecting moderately large systems or be willing to educate themselves as necessary.  This is a collaborative position, so communication with other team members and management is essential.  The ideal candidate will have knowledge of web technologies, UI usability, J2EE and internationalization.

In addition to new software development, all members of the team participate regularly in support of our existing code base and associated products deployed in the field.
